Eufaula man killed on Pittsburg County road

CANADIAN, Okla. (AP) _ A Eufaula man is dead Thursday after being struck by a vehicle in a residential area in Pittsburg County.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 51-year-old Charles Johnson was killed early Thursday morning when an unidentified vehicle struck him on a Pittsburg County road.

Officials say the vehicle left the scene of the accident, which was reported to the Pittsburg County Sheriff's Office just after midnight.
