A special task force to solve a string of Tulsa robberies appears to be paying off. It's led to the arrests of two people believed responsible for a series of break-ins at O'Reilly Auto Parts stores in the Tulsa area.

Tulsa Police were watching and waiting for Nathaniel Hogan, to make his move. Officers believe he went to an O'Reilly's to rob it. But when he spotted undercover officers he ran off through a Brookside neighborhood.

Hogan and officers exchanged gunfire, but no one was hurt. He was arrested a short time later. Officers recovered a gun, a Halloween mask and pair of gloves. Also arrested is LaShawnn Tarkington, who authorities believe is the getaway driver.

One O'Reilly's manager tells the News on 6 he just hopes the arrests will mean peace and quiet. Travis Mills, O'Reillys Night Manager: "we hope so. It would be a big relief to know they finally got the guy who's been terrorizing the stores to know it will cease for awhile."

The fugitive squad, US Marshals and other federal agencies helped catch the suspects.
