Tulsa sex crimes detectives are asking for help to solve a case of torture and rape. Charlene was attacked by two men inside her East Tulsa home October 27th.
The men tied up her young children in a bedroom. She was beaten, raped and burned in the living room. The suspects kept asking her about money, but Charlene told them they were in the wrong house. Tulsa Police say it looks like a case of mistaken identity.
Charlene agreed to talk to the News on 6 in hopes it would help catch the men who did it. "The reason I decided to show my face is I know a lot of rape victims feel shame and guilt. I don't feel that shame and guilt. This is not my fault. I didn't ask for it to happen, it should not have happened.â€
Charlene says both men were black, wore Halloween masks and gloves. One had a gun and told her he was 19.
If you have any information about this case, you can call Crimestoppers at 596-COPS. You can remain anonymous.
