With Thanksgiving right around the corner, some young Oklahomans shared with the rest of the world exactly what they're thankful for.

"I love my mom, she even jumps on the trampoline with me."

"I'm thankful to be an American. Thankful for the soldiers who are fighting to protect us."

"I'm thankful for turtles, robots and trees."

The kids were all part of the Mimi's Cafe essay-writing contest. The topic, what I have to be most thankful for. Hundreds of local students entered, and Wednesday, the 15 finalists were invited to eat at Mimi's cafe and find out who the top three winners were.

Congratulations to Joel Patocka, Dawson Pleasant and Allison Eales. They all received US Savings Bonds for their award winning essays.
