Muskogee man dies as result of traffic accident

MUSKOGEE, Okla. (AP) The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a Muskogee man has died following a crash in Wagoner County.

The OHP says 20-year-old James McDowell died Tuesday at St. Johns Medical Center in Tulsa.

McDowell was a passenger in a Lincoln Navigator driven by 31-year-old Gregory Mims, also of Muskogee. The vehicle crashed early Monday morning on the Muskogee Turnpike in Wagoner County.

McDowell was admitted to Muskogee Regional Hospital in stable condition with leg injuries.
