Veteran's Day is Thursday, but Wednesday some Sapulpa kids celebrated early.

Freedom Elementary school held a special assembly for area veterans. Students and teachers sang songs to honor the men and women who wore the countryâ€™s uniform.

Freedom Principal Nancy Turlington says this is an important thing for kids to do. "Patriotism has swept our country; learn from the best of the best."

Several events are planned across northeastern Oklahoma for Veteran's Day Thursday, like the downtown Tulsa Veteran's Day parade.
