Condemnation has paid off for the owner of the Denver Grill - who got more money than she asked for. That has cleared the way for demolition for the new downtown Tulsa arena.

City appraisers first set the market value for the Denver Grill at $175,000. The city eventually offered $251,000, but the owner rejected it. She countered with an offer to sell for $314,000. And now, a court appointed commission settled on a price of $350,000, an offer the owner decided to take.

The Denver Grill closed for good on Wednesday. The owner plans to re-open inside the Ramada Inn downtown. Even though she just accepted the deal she's already packing up the diner.
