STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) _ Former Oklahoma State baseball coach Gary Ward will be inducted into the Cowboy Baseball Hall of Fame at Oklahoma State.

Ward led OSU to 16 consecutive Big Eight Conference titles during his 1978 to 1996 tenure as head coach.

He guided the Cowboys to 17 NCAA regional appearances and ten trips to the College World Series. Seven of OSU's World Series appearances were in consecutive years, which is an NCAA record.

Ward compiled a record of 953 wins, 313 losses and one tie before he retired.

He coached the 2001-2002 season at his alma mater, New Mexico State.

The induction ceremony is set for November 12th at OSU.
