Mayes County Sheriff's deputies are searching for the identity of a body discovered in Grand River.

Sunday morning, a fisherman saw a plastic trash barrel bobbing in the water. When he got closer, he found the body of a man inside. Deputies have few leads in the case.

They say the victim was a white male with brown hair, wearing cut-off sweat pants. Investigators say the man had been beaten and had several cuts on his skull.
