It started as a wild goose chase, but there is a happy ending for two pieces of aviation history.
The Tulsa Air and Space Museum removed two art deco light fixtures from the Golden Eagle Credit Union on North Memorial Monday. In the 1930's, those fixtures stood in Tulsa's old municipal airport terminal lobby.
So how did they end up on the credit union building? Kim Jones with the Tulsa Air and Space Museum: "Rumor was, trucking company, tore down in the 60’s, put them on the front of his building."
The old fixtures will be installed in the new part of the Tulsa Air and Space Museum set to open in 2005.
