A Tulsa man is bringing warmth to area neighbors in need. Robert Linn started a winter clothing drive called "Warming Our Communities" to help Tulsans who can't afford winter clothing this season.
Today, local groups teamed up with the "Tulsa Volunteer Center" for the 14th annual "Make a Difference Day" at the Harvard Elks Lodge. Volunteers collected used coats, gloves, hats, scarves and blankets. They hope to collect more than 5-thousand winter items.
Robert Linn/Event Coordinator "It took a lot of time and a lot of effort, but we had a lot of support, and a lot of angencies came together to work on this and it's really amazing."
Volunteers will distribute the "winter-wear" to non-profit agencies that serve Tulsa-area residents in need.
