OSU tied for first, OU fourth in Big 12 basketball poll

DALLAS (AP) -- Oklahoma State is tied for 1st and Oklahoma is 4th in a preseason poll of Big 12 basketball coaches released Thursday.

The Cowboys have four starters back from last year's 31-4, Final Four team and received six first place votes in the poll of conference coaches.

Kansas also received six first place votes and tied OSU with 116 points as the preseason choice to win the conference title.

Texas is third in the poll with 97 points, followed by OU with 94 points.

OU returns three starters from last season's 20-11 team that advanced to the NIT.

Missouri is picked fifth, followed by Iowa State, Texas Tech, Nebraska, Kansas State, Colorado, Texas A-and-M and Baylor.

The preseason All-Big 12 Team will be announced Tuesday.
