The Arvest Mortgage Company and the Fannie Mae Foundation have announced a one Billion dollar affordable lending alliance.

It will provide affordable mortgage financing for low and moderate income families.

More than 11-thousand families are expected to benefit.

"Important for people to know they have options. And if they have not had a chance to buy a home, today is the day to start thinking about it,” said Mike Hernandez/Fannie Mae Vice President.

“Whether its getting with the folks at Arvest to learn how do you begin saving or how do you fix your credit, but to start working on that process so that you can have a piece of the rock right here in Tulsa."

The program will be available through 2008 to families in Oklahoma, Arkansas and Missouri, states where Arvest operates.
