The election is just 3 weeks away and on the closing day of the fair, the candidates hope to win some votes.
Politics might not be on the top of their mind. But for the two major political parties, all of these voters were fair game.
On the lower level of the Expo building, politics takes center stage. Both the Democratic and Republican parties are out stumping for their candidates.
The Democrats showed support for locals like Doug Dodd, who is running for a congressional seat, Brad Carson who is vying for a place in the U-S Senate as well as the man on the presidential ballot, Senator John Kerry.
Just a few rows over you could find "W" 0-4 shirts for sale at the Republicans' booth. Incumbent Congressman John Sullivan had signs of support and Senate candidate Doctor Tom Coburn has his own booth.
Some folks stopped by to show support others came to find out more information about the candidates.
David Holinsworth: "the mudslinging goes on on tv if you just look at that you're going to get a lot of misinformation from both sides this way you can actually see their faces talk to them and say hey whats the truth."
Maria Swindell: "most importantly because I want to be supportive of the democratic party its always fun when you're at the fair to come out here and see the great things they have out here and see the volunteers."
And you still have time to visit the poltical booths and all of the other exhibits here at the fair. The fair closes for the year tonight at nine.
