Here at home, hundreds of Sooner fans gathered to rally the team to victory. A wave of crimson and creme took over the Fox and the Hound Pub in Broken Arrow.
Despite the slow Sooner start these fans never lost faith. They started crowding into the Fox and the Hound pub early this morning to watch the game on the big screen. Dozens of fans were decked out in O-U T-shirts and hats. And signs of the deep-seeded O-U Texas rivalry were everywhere.
Many fans said in their eyes this is the most important game of the season. And its a match-up they look forward to year after year.
Chris Halpern, OU Fan: "I guess the history these two schools have never liked each other and I dont see that changing anytime soon but I like it I'm up for it."
Jamar Celestine, OU Fan: "its been like that my father told me its been like that since he was young and its been like that since I was a young kid it was OU texas and OU Nebraska and this is my big one right here OU texas."
Now there were a few longhorn fans although they were pretty much banished to the patio.
