The fate of a Tulsa woman whom police say faked a kidnapping report in hopes of getting her stolen van recovered quicker will soon be in the hands of the Tulsa County DA.

As officials review possible charges against her, many at the Tulsa Police Department are feeling frustrated.

A kidnapped child is one of the most serious calls dispatchers can get. Though not usually to this magnitude, police say exaggerated calls happen often. It's an action that ties up officers and potentially jeopardizes public safety.

911 dispatcher Dave Vincent: "We have a priority list for a reason, you know, armed robberies, shootings, stabbings, we've gotta go to those calls before we go to other stuff and when we sap of the manpower of the police department like this, we can't respond to anything as well as we'd like to."

The mother, Lisa Miller, is still refusing to do any on camera interviews. She could be charged with filing a false police report, which is a misdemeanor.
