OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ An Oklahoma City man is convicted of stabbing another man to death following an argument over a slashed tire.

Oklahoma County jurors deliberated about two hours yesterday before convicting 30-year-old Reginald Demont Jackson of first-degree murder in the January 2003 stabbing death of Marco Anthony Bonilla.

Jurors recommended a life sentence for Jackson.

Prosecutors argued Jackson chased Bonilla to an apartment complex in southwest Oklahoma City and stabbed him in the chest because he believed Bonilla had slashed a tire on his car.

Defense attorney Mike Arnett argued Jackson stabbed Bonilla in self-defense. He also claimed state attorneys did not prove his client intended to kill the victim.
