OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Suring oil and natural gas prices are pushing stock prices higher for several Oklahoma energy companies.
Eight of Oklahoma's publicly traded energy companies saw their stocks reach 52-week highs yesterday.
Industry observers say it's a sign of the recent improvement in the energy industry and a reflection of the belief that oil and natural gas demand could soon outpace production.
Oklahoma City-based Kerr-McGee and Devon Energy and Tulsa-based Alliance Resource Partners were among the Oklahoma companies to hit their high water mark for the past year.
