An early morning police chase lands one person in custody. It started in Tulsa near 11th and Harvard just after 12AM after a Tulsa Police officer tried to make a traffic stop.
The driver took off and headed west on a Tulsa expressway, leading officers on a thirty minute chase.
"The helicopter took over the pursuit about 10-15 minute after it initiated. Helicopter followed the suspect vehicle down the Keystone Expressway. Sand Springs Police Department and O-H-P got involved at that point," said Cpl Larry Mark/Tulsa Police.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol Troopers then used stop sticks on the vehicle. The driver then stopped at the Quik-Trip in Sand Springs and was taken into custody.
He could face a variety of charges including Driving Under the Influence and eluding police. No one was hurt.
