NEW YORK (AP) -- Former Okmulgee baseball star Ron Gardenhire will be on the coaching staff for the American League in this year's All-Star game.
Gardenhire manages the Minnesota Twins and was chosen with Texas' Ron Washington as AL coaches.
The American League team will be managed by Detroit's Jim Leyland.
National League manager Tony La Russa of St. Louis selected Willie Randolph of the New York Mets and Bruce Bochy of the San Francisco Giants as NL coaches.
The All-Star game will be July tenth in San Francisco.
