OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Oklahoma City University softball coach Phil McSpadden is the NAIA coach of the year.

McSpadden led the Stars to a 53-and-6 record and the school's eighth NAIA national championship this year. The eight national titles is an NAIA record.

This also the eighth NAIA coach of the year award for McSpadden.
