Vandals cause thousands of dollars worth of damage at a Tulsa car dealership. The News On 6’s Heather Lewin reports more than a dozen cars had their windows busted out early Thursday morning.
The vandals left behind a hammer after apparently using it to bash in back windows, and more, on at least 14 cars at Riverside Toyota in Tulsa. A security guard discovered the damage after 1 a.m., and Tulsa police have no suspects in the case.
Equipped with lights and a security guard the dealership is off an expressway and a bit isolated, so police say the scene wasn't visible from the street.
"There's no housing nearby, and obviously it was just somebody walking through the parking lot whether it was kids or a disgruntled customer that didn't like their actions out here or whatever," said Tulsa Police Officer Mark Wollmershauser.
The dealership refused to comment, so we have no word on an exact dollar amount of damage.
Police say the crime is one typically committed by juveniles, but at this point they can't be certain who's to blame.
If you were driving by the dealer ship, located on 34th and Sheridan, or if you have any information in this case call Crimestoppers at 596-COPS.
