NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -- Cleveland County prosecutors filed rape and sodomy charges against a Norman North High School teacher accused of having a sexual relationship with a student.
Science teacher Lynn Lewallen has been suspended since May 4th when she was accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a 16-year-old girl.
District Attorney Greg Mashburn says the girl told investigators she and Lewallen would leave school together during lunch breaks.
Lewallen has worked in the Norman School District since 1996 and was coach of the girls basketball team from 1997 through 2004.
