OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Former state Insurance Commissioner Carroll Fisher is to go on trial July 23rd in Tulsa County District Court on a charge of filing a false income tax return. The trial was to begin Monday in Oklahoma City but a judge has ruled that since Fisher signed the return in Tulsa County the trial should be held there.

Fisher has already been convicted of embezzling $1,000 from his campaign and of lying on a campaign report in 2003.

He was sentenced to three years in prison and fined $20,000 but is under house arrest while he appeals the convictions.

Three other felony cases are pending against Fisher in Oklahoma County.
