TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- Miss Bricktown-Oklahoma City was the big winner during the third and final night of preliminary competition in the Miss Oklahoma Scholarship Pageant. The annual pageant is taking place in Tulsa.
Miss Bricktown-Oklahoma City Damaris Pierce won the talent and newcomer talent divisions with a vocal rendition of "Come Rain or Come Shine," officials said. Pierce won $1,000 for the talent division and $500 for the newcomer talent division.
Pierce is a sophomore political science major at Oklahoma State University.
During Thursday night's preliminary swimsuit competition, Miss Southern Delaware County won $200. Taylor Upson, an 18-year-old Owasso resident, will be a freshman at the University of Central Oklahoma this fall.
