OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The state Department of Environmental Quality issued an ozone health advisory for seven southern Oklahoma counties Wednesday,
The DEQ says air in Stephens, Jefferson, Murray, Carter, Love, Johnston and Marshall counties could have had adverse health affects for sensitive groups because of ozone and other air pollution.
DEQ says the advisory is different from an ozone alert because the advisory is in effect when it's issued while the ozone alert is a forecast usually for the following day.
