Tulsa Police are investigating an overnight disturbance involving three people, two men and a woman, which has turned into Tulsa's 29th homicide of the year. It happened at about 1 a.m. Thursday in the 1600 block of East 6th Street.

Police officers could not find the man’s roommate involved in the disturbance, so a search perimeter was setup. A police canine was sent to the suspect's house and police officers found 30-year-old Gary Howell hiding in the home’s attic. "It took us probably about an hour and 45 minutes to successfully get him out of the attic in a safe manner to him and safe for us all," said Tulsa Police Captain Steve Bayles.
The man who made the 911 call was questioned and Gary Howell has been booked into the Tulsa County jail on a complaint of 1st degree murder.
