TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- A telephone service that provides help in finding government assistance is being expanded in eastern Oklahoma. The 211 Helpline is being extended into Adair, Cherokee, Muskogee, McIntosh, Sequoyah and Okfuskee counties.
The service provides information about services ranging from health care to financial assistance in paying rent or utility bills.
Callers simply dial 211 to access the service which began two years ago in Tulsa, Rogers, Wagoner, Osage, Creek, and Okmulgee counties.
