SULPHUR, Okla. (AP) -- Oklahoma Highway Patrol divers recover the body of a Pauls Valley man who had been missing. Twenty-nine-year-old Nathan Gonazles was found about 10:30 a.m. Monday in about 11 feet of water and about 15 yards from the shore of the Lake of the Arbuckles.
Chickasaw National Recreation Area officials say Gonzales was with a group of people swimming about 6:30 p.m. Sunday when someone realized Gonzales had been missing about 30 minutes.
National Park Service employees and others searched the area about 30 minutes later, but without success. Park service employees also dragged the lake in the area where Gonzales was last seen, but all efforts were suspended about 8:45 p.m. due to darkness.
Park service employees and OHP troopers resumed the search Monday morning.
