A red-light runner causes an accident early Saturday morning. Just before 4 a.m. Saturday a man, driving a white Acura, ran a red-light at 31st and Memorial pulling in front of a woman in a black Honda, said police. The driver, who police say is not in the country legally, did not have a license or insurance, ran from the scene, authorities said. He was later found hiding behind a nearby bush.
It is suspected the male driver had been drinking. He was arrested for no drivers license, no insurance and leaving the scene of an accident. Two passengers in the his car were allowed to leave.
The female driver was banged up, but did not go to the hospital.
