WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (AP) _ The Oklahoma State golf team began Friday tied for 8th and Tulsa started out in 22nd place after the second round of the NCAA golf championships in Williamsburg, Virginia.
The Cowboys shot 1-under, 279 in the second round to jump eleven spots from 19th place. TU shot fell ten spots after an 11-over, 291.
First round leader Stanford started the day still first place with a one shot lead over Minnesota and two ahead of Coastal Carolina.
After Friday's third round the top 15 teams will advance to the fourth and final round Saturday.
