OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) -- The Texas Rangers recalled left-hander John Koronka from Triple-A Oklahoma and sent down right-hander Mike Wood today, a day after Wood helped snap a six-game losing streak.
Koronka started today's series finale at Oakland. The only left-hander to start for the Rangers this season, Koronka allowed three runs in five innings in his other start May 19th at Houston.
Wood, who was called up from Oklahoma on Monday, pitched five scoreless innings in yesterday's 4-0 victory against the Athletics.
It was his second strong outing in four starts for the Rangers.
