VIAN, Okla. (AP) -- A truck towing a travel trailer swerved into oncoming traffic and slammed into a motorcyclist Monday afternoon, leaving a Sallisaw man dead. The accident happened about 1 p.m. on State Highway 82 north of Vian in Sequoyah County.
The Highway Patrol says 29-year-old Mathhew Timmerman was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. He was riding a motorcycle when the pickup and trailer driven by Linda Sue Stanford of Alma, Arkansas, crossed the centerline and slammed into his motorcycle.
The patrol says Stanford wasn't injured.
