OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Craig Stinson hit 2 run-scoring singles to help lift Texas A&M to a 7-2 win over Kansas State Saturday in pool play in the Big 12 Conference baseball tournament.
Texas A&M (43-16) got a run in the 1st inning on Blake Stouffer's ground out. The Aggies added 2 more runs in the 2nd on base hits by Kyle Colligan and Parker Dalton.
Kansas State (34-24) stranded 14 base runners in the game. The loss eliminates the Wildcats from the championship game.
The Wildcats got a solo homer by Rob Vaughn in the 2nd inning and added another run in the 6th on Derek Bunker's single.
David Newmann (10-1) got the win for Texas A&M, and Chase Bayuk (5-6) took the loss.
