COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) _ Oklahoma center Courtney Paris is among 14 players who have been chosen as finalists to be members of USA Basketball's under-21 team.

Two more players will be cut next month, and the remaining 12 will represent the United States at the under-21 world championships next month in Moscow.

Paris was this year's Associated Press college player of the year and she's already a member of the US senior national team.

Her sister and Oklahoma teammate, Ashley Paris, was among the 45 players who tried out for the US under-21 team, but she did not make yesterday's cut.

Two other schools had teammates named finalists. Rutgers' Essence Carson and Kia Vaughn are among the finalists, along with Maryland's Laura Harper and Crystal Langhorne.

Other finalists include Notre Dame's Charel Allen, Wisconsin's Jolene Anderson, Auburn's DeWanna Bonner, Georgia's Ashley Houts, Ohio State's Marscilla Packer, Duke's Abby Waner, Stanford's Candice Wiggins and Purdue's Lindsay Wisdom-Hylton.

Northwestern signee Amy Jaeschke was the only high-school player to make the cut.
