TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- Former U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor will speak next month during an event sponsored by the University of Tulsa College of Law. O'Connor, the first woman to sit on the Supreme Court, will join Robert Henry, a judge on the 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Denver, for the June 1st event, which will be free and open to the public.
O'Connor retired from the Supreme Court in 2006, after nearly 25 years on the nation's highest court.
Since her retirement, she has served as a member of the Iraq Study Commission and as the chancellor of the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia.
