WASHINGTON -- The U.S. Supreme Court is upholding the death sentence of an Oklahoma County man convicted of raping and killing an 11-month-old girl in 1997. The court declined to hear the appeal of Charles Frederick Warner who was convicted and sentenced to death in 2003 for killing Adriana Waller.
The girl was the daughter of Warner's girlfriend.
Warner has argued he had ineffective counsel and that evidence was improperly admitted. State appeals courts have rejected all his claims.
Warner was given the death sentence for killing the girl and a 75 year sentence for raping her.
