OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Kassie Humphreys drove in the winning run with a single in the bottom of the 8th inning as defending champion Kansas beat Iowa State 2-1 Friday at the Big 12 softball tournament in Oklahoma City.
Stevie Crisosto doubled with 2-outs off Iowa State starter Alyssa Ransom (12-18) and moved to 3rd on a wild pitch. After a walk by Elle Pottorf, Humphreys singled to left field to bring home the winning run.
Humphreys also drove in the Jayhawks' other run in the 4th inning and picked up her 19th win of the season with a complete game.
Iowa State scored its only run on Alex Johnson's 4th-inning home run.
Kansas faces 2nd-seeded Oklahoma in the quarterfinals Friday night.
