ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) -- FBI officials say agents arrested a Northwest Airlines passenger after he lunged at a flight attendant.

The FBI says 49-year-old Rafael Alberto Holazo of Oklahoma City began swearing and harassing passengers three hours into a flight Wednesday from Detroit to Japan.

Officials say when an attendant showed him a violation card and told him to return to his seat, Holazo grew agitated and lunged at the attendant, grabbing the attendant by the shoulder.

The FBI says two passengers pulled Holazo away from the attendant. The flight was diverted to Anchorage, where airport police and FBI agents arrested him.

Holazo is being held at the Anchorage City Jail until his federal court appearance Friday. He's charged with interfering with a flight crew.
