OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ The state Treasurer's office has received three awards from the Office of Personnel Management for demonstrating innovative government solutions.
State Treasurer Scott Meacham and his staff were recognized Tuesday for enhancing the state's $5-billion investment portfolio and improving the performance of the state's Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust Fund.
The investment portfolio doubled its earnings from 2005 to last year, generating $50 million more. The tobacco fund is expected to bring in $14 million in additional income over the next five years due to adjustments by Meacham's staff.
