In the News On 6 gas gauge, motorists reeling from rising gas prices have real sticker shock. New surveys show the average price for regular self-serve is $3.07 a gallon, that is a record. It is also about 20 cents higher than 2 weeks ago.
Experts say much of the increase is because of refinery problems. There have been at least a dozen partial shutdowns in the U.S. that have cut refining capacity.
In Tulsa, motorists are paying about $2.89 a gallon.
