Meth labs can pop up anywhere, homes, barns, apartments, trailers, campers, cabins, motel rooms, even a car. If you suspect you live near a meth lab here are a few things to look out for:
Unusual, strong odors similar to fingernail polish, cat urine or ammonia
Windows blacked out or covered by aluminum foil, plywood, sheets, blankets, etc.
Lots of traffic, people coming and going at unusual times.
Excessive trash including large amounts of items like antifreeze, lantern fuel, red chemically stained coffee filters, drain cleaner and duct tape.
Residents who are secretive or protective of the area surrounding their home.
Presence of the following items could indicate the existence of a meth lab:
