OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The state Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry is sending about 30 firefighters to help fight wildfires in Georgia. The fires have burned nearly 70,000 acres in Georgia since April 16th. The Oklahoma firefighters are being sent to the Waycross, Georgia, area.
Agriculture Secretary Terry Peach says Georgia sent firefighters to help fight Oklahoma wildfires last year and the state is returning the favor.
Going with the firefighters are ten fire engines and two bulldozers.
