LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) _ Former Oklahoma State assistant Richard Wilson is introduced as head coach of Arkansas Baptist's new football team.
The 47-year-old Wilson played at Arkansas and Central Arkansas. The Hope, Arkansas, native has coached at several schools, including Arkansas, Missouri, OSU, Minnesota and Clemson.
Arkansas Baptist, a historically black college in Little Rock, announced last summer it was revamping its athletic department. The biggest change is the addition of the football team, which begins play this fall.
Arkansas Baptist President Fitz Hill was once an assistant football coach at Arkansas and more recently was the head coach at San Jose State.
Arkansas Baptist's first game will be September 1st against Trinity Valley of Texas. The Buffaloes' first home game at War Memorial Stadium will be September 6th against Northeastern Oklahoma A&M.
