NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -- Buck Afenir goes 2-3 with 2 RBIs and sophomore left-hander Nick Czyz records his first conference win of the baseball season as Kansas beats Oklahoma 6-3 Saturday.

Kansas moves to 21-26 overall and 7-13 in Big 12 play while OU is 28-16 and 8-9.

Kansas jumped ahead 3-0 in the 2nd inning, with 2 runs scoring on Brock Simpson's triple off OU starter Heath Taylor, who fell to 7-2.

OU pulled within 3-2 in the 3rd, but Czyz blanked the Sooners for the rest of his 6-inning stint and moved to 3-6 on the season.

OU outhit the Jayhawks 10-7 but hit into two double plays and left 10 runners on base.

Paul Smyth recorded his sixth save of the season for the Jayhawks, allowing 1 run in 2 2-3 innings.

Aaron Ivey led OU offensively, going 3-4. Jackson Williams and Zach Hedges added a pair of hits each for the Sooners.
