STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) -- Oklahoma State has added two more junior college players to its recruiting class for next season, coach Kurt Budke said Thursday.
The addition of forward Shyvon Spears and guard Chontaye Walter gives the Cowgirls three junior college signees this spring.
Spears, who is 6-foot-1, averaged 14 points and 9.3 rebounds for Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College last season as a sophomore.
Walter, a 5-foot-8 Oklahoma City native, averaged 14.2 points, 5.4 assists and three steals for Seward County (Kan.) Community College last season. She will have three years of eligibility remaining.
Coming off the school's first NCAA tournament berth since 1996, Budke signed 6-foot-2 center Megan Byford from Northern Oklahoma College in Enid earlier this month.
In the fall, the Cowgirls signed three high-school seniors: 5-foot-6 guard Taylor Booze, 5-foot-10 guard Kristin Hernandez and 6-foot-3 center Alex Richardson.
