STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) _ Lauren Eckermann allowed six hits as Oklahoma held on to beat Oklahoma State 2-to-1 in bedlam softball.
OU was leading 2-to-0 Wednesday night when OSU's Sadie Krywicki hit an RBI in the bottom of the seventh inning to cut the advantage to 2-1.
With the tying run on base, Shanel Scott got a base hit and the Cowgirls appeared to threaten. But OSU's Shianne Cruce collided with OU's Savannah Long during the play and was called out for interference, ending the game.
The Sooners got on board first on Samantha Ricketts' RBI in the first inning. OU didn't score again until the sixth, when Jamie Fox hit a home run.
Eckermann pitched a complete game, improving her record to 30 wins and two losses. Jessica Hoppock allowed eight hits and two runs for Oklahoma State.
OU improves to 48-and-5 and 13-and-3 in Big 12 Conference standings. OS-U falls to 25-and-28 and 3-and-11 in conference play.
