OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- For immediate impact and turnarounds NFL teams usually look for quarterbacks.
Former Oklahoma running back Adrian Peterson believes he fits the bill, too.
Peterson is leaving OU after his junior season and says don't forget about him just because much attention is focused on quarterbacks JaMarcus Russell of LSU and Brady Quinn of Notre Dame.
Peterson is widely considered the best running back in the draft and he says the work, sweat, blood and tears he's invested are starting to pay off.
Peterson says he tries to stay away from mock drafts that try to predict when he'll be selected but says he believes he's a top-five pick.
