Army Duty Takes Away First Wedding Anniversary

A Green Country couple shares a very special evening with us. JP Price and his wife Beth are in the National Guard. Upcoming military duties are going to keep the couple from celebrating their first wedding anniversary together. JP didn't want Beth to miss that special evening. So he created a very special pre-anniversary dinner for his wife at the Forest Ridge Golf Club in Broken Arrow Friday night.

"She's going to be going to Basic Training this Wednesday, and I'm going to be going to Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, to be retrained for my job. So we wanted to do it before rather than after," said JP Price.

JP Price is connected to the 45th Infantry which means there is a chance he'll have to go to Iraq. The manager of the restaurant was so moved by the gesture, they decided to make their meal "on the house."
