TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- Tim Olson hit a grand slam to lead the Tulsa Drillers to a 9-4 Texas League victory over Corpus Christi on Monday.
Olson, who finished 2-4, also had an RBI single during a five-run third inning rally that put the Drillers (2-3) ahead for good at 5-1. His grand slam came in the fifth inning.
The Hooks (1-3) managed a run in the sixth off a run-scoring single by Jonny Ash, who finished 1-3 with an RBI. Ash scored in the ninth when Drew Sutton hit a single past second base, but Corpus Christi couldn't score again.
Jon Asahina (1-0) allowed six hits and two runs, both earned, in six innings for Tulsa.
Tip Fairchild (0-1) took the loss, allowing seven hits and five runs, all earned, in three innings for Corpus Christi.
